Two Individuals Charged for Inmate Homicide of Ex-Lostprophets Vocalist Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges following the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.
Watkins, forty-eight, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after admitting a string of sex offences including the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
